Anderson-Shiro CISD Bond Proposal Comes With The Highest Property Tax Increase

Ready for an EPIC tax increase and the HIGHEST tax rate in Grimes County?

According to ASCISD's tax impact webpage, if Prop A is passed, we estimate we will have the HIGHEST tax rate in Grimes County, surpassing both Madisonville ISD and Navasota ISD. The district's $60 million bond will BALLOON the property tax rate for our small 3A district from $0.851400 to $1.0838!

Here is a breakdown of the comparison if Prop A passes:

- Madisonville ISD has 4 schools and over 2300 students compared to ASCISD with 2 schools and 966 students. That's 58% FEWER students than Madisonville ISD but ASCISD will have a 24% higher tax rate than Madisonville ISD.

- Navasota ISD has 6 schools and over 3000 students compared to ASCISD with 67% FEWER students than Navasota ISD but ASCISD will have a 9% higher tax rate than Navasota ISD.

Giving our kids an epic education does not have to come with an EPIC price tag!!

You have a voice and right to say NO to having the highest tax rate in Grimes County. Vote AGAINST Prop A on Nov. 5, 2024!
